Kia ora from NZ Trail Run and Tours
The world is learning New Zealand has a heap of spectacular, awe inspiring scenery. From trails through 1000 year old rain forests to golden sandy beaches with no-one around, Aotearoa has it all. Our vision is to present New Zealand’s amazing landscapes, flora and fauna in a new light. We want to help inspire, inform, and encourage those contemplating a trail or road adventure to get pumped up and go.
Its about getting off the beaten path and finding freedom in the beauty of a simply surreal land.
We are here to celebrate the people and places that make the ‘land of the long white cloud’ so special. Enjoy the articles and blogs provided by the people out there doing it, out there scaling mountains and experiencing New Zealand as it should be, rugged and untamed. Find inspiration in their experiences and make your own adventure, one that will be hard to surpass and never forgotten!
For you ‘out of towners’ who want to come and see the real New Zealand we are here to help. Get hold of us through our Adventure Contact Form and discover this land like you would never believed possible. We draw on the experience from so many local legends to ensure your adventure is on the next level. This doesn’t have to be bungy jumping or jet boating but could be fly fishing the best rivers or tramping a great walk. The adventure is yours to dream and make a reality.
The popularity of trail adventure is growing at a great rate of knots, and with keen participants scattered all over the country it would be nice to hear about your trials and tribulations on the trails.
As part of our work we hope to foster some healthy competition among the trail running community by hosting an FKT (Fastest Known Time) database. To be honest, you don’t even need to be the fastest runner on the block to hold an FKT record as there are very few documented records that we can find for NZ trails. Just pick a track with a vacant title, preferably over 20km for our database, and get out and claim it.
We want to hear about FKT attempts, training runs, bonks (in the running sense), blisters, nutrition fails / successes, awesome trails you’ve been on, amazing things you’ve seen, lessons you’ve learnt, and so on. We really just want to promote interaction and communication. Knowledge is power, and sharing is caring.
